    The type naming of RJ connectors is the basis for customer acquisition and manufacturer’s organization of production. In the RJ connector industry at home and abroad, there are two ways of naming product types: one is to use letter code plus numbers, and strive to reflect the main structural characteristics of the product in the type naming. The advantage of this method is that it is easy to identify, but the arrangement is too long and too messy. With the miniaturization of the RJ connector, it brings a lot of difficulties to printing. This method is still popular in China, and some industry standards and even national standards have made rules, such as SJ2298-83 (printed circuit RJ connector), SJ2297-83 (rectangular RJ connector), SJ2459-84 (ribbon Cable RJ connector), GB9538-88 (ribbon cable RJ connector), etc.
    Due to the increasing diversification of RJ connector structures, it is more and more difficult to cover a certain type of RJ connector with a naming convention in practice. Another way of thinking is to use Arabic numeral combinations. The advantage of this method is that it is concise, convenient for computer management and small product logo printing.
